Google updated the list of countries where the Event search experience is available to only include those where users can see that experience. The previous list also included regions where users could see events in Knowledge Panels.
Google updated the Event documentation to clarify the requirement for 'offers', which is one of the recommended properties.
For offers.priceCurrency, it now states that an ISO 4217 currency code must be used (e.g. USD). Previously, it simply stated '3-letter currency code', so this update mostly serves as clarification.
Added optional properties to the Event structured data documentation: organizer, organizer.name, organizer.url.
Updated the Event structured data documentation to state that the timezone UTC/GMT offset is required for online events, since there is no location information that Google can use to understand when the event starts.
Added a note to the Event structured data documentation about the new optional properties that were added on March 16-17, 2020. The Rich Results Test now supports the new properties.
Added optional properties to the Event structured data documentation: eventAttendanceMode, VirtualLocation type for location, location.url for online events.
