The Client
TrunkBBI is an integrated digital marketing agency based in Manchester. The SEO team sits in the performance marketing offering, which serves clients across a mix of industries and sizes, from financial services and insurance to e-commerce. The business also has a digital PR team, which looks at improving backlinks and brand awareness to support the SEO team’s efforts in overall improvement to organic visibility for clients. We caught up with Fiona Brindle and Amy Jones to find out how their transition from Sitebulb Pro (desktop) to Sitebulb Cloud has been going.
The Challenge
As a growing digital marketing agency, TrunkBBI was finding that their existing Sitebulb desktop licenses were struggling to handle the large websites of their expanding client base. Fiona, the Head of SEO, explains: "We had a project with a large automotive website and their site was just too big for our laptops to crawl effectively. We were having a lot of frustrating issues with our desktops not being able to keep up."
The Solution

Fiona goes onto say that, it was either switch to Cloud or upgrade all of their hardware. Despite Sitebulb Cloud costing more per month than the desktop version, it’s more cost-effective in the long-run. “If we hadn’t switched to Sitebulb Cloud, we would’ve had to have all got new laptops with massive amounts of memory, which we’d probably need to replace after a year.”

The Results
Team efficiency
The move to Sitebulb Cloud has had a significant impact on TrunkBBI's operations. Fiona says: "It's meant that we can be much more consistent with our crawling, and we now have recurring crawls set up. We don't have to worry about laptops being turned off, as Sitebulb Cloud doesn’t need our hardware to be on."
Amy adds: "Sitebulb Cloud has made us so much more efficient. We can pull in all that data from Search Console and Analytics so quickly, and having everything in one place is really useful. It's also enabled us to service our larger clients much better."
New business opportunities
The improved efficiency and ability to handle bigger websites has also opened the door to new business opportunities for TrunkBBI.
As Fiona explains: "The [automotive client] project that we delivered using Sitebulb Cloud has led to an ongoing digital PR retainer with them, which is now one of our biggest clients. So Cloud has really set us up to be more advanced in our SEO offering, expand our client base and take on more strategic, enterprise-level work."
