We bring the data. You bring the context.

Sitebulb tells you what's true about a site. These Skills tell you what to do about it, for your business, right now. That's the part a spreadsheet export can never do.

It interviews before it answers

This allows business context to lead every SEO decision. The same data leads to a different answer for an ecommerce site mid-migration than a publisher in a traffic slump.

It reframes, never fakes

The scores stay honest. Context only decides what leads, and the skills tell you when they demote something: "this affects every page, but it's best practice with no ranking effect."

It hands off, never dead-ends

The outputs are designed for you to determine what's next. Technical SEO Audit → "Re-brand in our company styling." Release Check → "Run weekly in Cowork and send the results to Slack."

Describe the work. Claude picks the Skill.

Trigger a Skill by name or just say what you need in plain language. Claude chooses the workflow, calls the Sitebulb MCP behind it, and pulls in whatever else you've connected.

What To Fix First

Point it at a crawl and get the three to five things actually worth your time, ranked by impact against effort, for your site and your situation.

The hardest part of technical SEO isn't finding issues, it's knowing which to ignore and which to prioritise. This skill interviews you first in order to understand the context of the site, then applies this context to the crawl data itself. Think of it as a second opinion from a senior consultant, on tap.

Dev Handoff

Turn analysis into action, easily creating PM tasks from your Sitebulb audit data.

Discovering SEO issues on your site is only half the battle, now you need to actually get them fixed. Use the Dev Handoff skill to automatically create tickets in Jira, Linear, Asana, Monday or ClickUp, without re-typing a thing. This writes the ticket a developer can action which explains both the what and the why, and every ticket carries an acceptance criterion that doubles as its own test.

Technical SEO Audit

The client-facing technical audit, drafted from your crawl: the five to ten issues that actually matter for this engagement, in a document with your name on it.

We've all been there: Sitebulb fires 100+ Hints and you're the one who has to figure out what's the most important. This skill collapses that process and hands back the part that's actually yours, the thinking. It ships as a working draft with review comments pinned to the passages that need your call, because your name goes on it, not Claude's.

What Changed

From one month to the next, you need to know what changed on the client's website. This skill tells you exactly that.

Retainer clients expect you to know what things changed on their website since last month, and which of them matter. Whether you're preparing a report or just about to jump on the call, this skill helps you understand 'here's what changed' from this crawl to last month's crawl, all without even opening Sitebulb.

Release Check

Devs ship website updates every Monday, so you need to know on Tuesday if anything broke. This skill will tell you.

Releases can break SEO without anyone noticing. A noindex ships by accident, canonicals vanish from a template, a page type loses its H1... and you only find out weeks later when traffic slides. Release Check is the smoke alarm: set the watch-list and thresholds once, tell it what you shipped on purpose so deliberate changes never cry wolf, and most Tuesdays it just Slacks you an 'all clear' in two lines. Pay attention when it doesn't!

The MCP provides the data. Skills provide the process.

Skills trained and written by experts, designed to make repetitive tasks more efficient and connect into existing workflows.

  • Establish context before pulling data
  • Score impact against effort, consistently

Install once, then just ask

Add the Skills, connect the Sitebulb MCP, and start asking for SEO deliverables in plain language. It works in Claude and ChatGPT, on both Sitebulb Desktop and Cloud, with no terminal needed.

Good to know

Everything you need to know to get going with Sitebulb MCP Skills.

What are Claude Skills?

Skills are reusable instructions that tell Claude how to do a specific type of work: when to use them, what questions to ask, which data to read, and what to produce. Instead of writing a long prompt every time, you get a repeatable process, so a job like "prioritise this audit" comes out to the same standard on every run.

What is the Sitebulb MCP?

The MCP is the connection that lets Claude read your Sitebulb audit data: categorised Hints with true affected-URL counts, coverage, indexability splits and the knowledge-base explanation behind each issue. It's the data layer under the Skills, it's read-only, and it behaves the same on Sitebulb Desktop and Cloud.

Which of these are automated, and which are hands-on?

Two are interactive front doors you walk through: What To Fix First and Technical SEO Audit. Their value is the conversation and your judgment. Two run the moment a scheduled crawl lands: What Changed and Release Check, so you can wake up to a drafted client update or a Tuesday all-clear. Dev Handoff sits in between, running on demand behind a preview gate. The MCP is read-only and can't start crawls itself, so automation always means "the crawl is already scheduled in Sitebulb, and the Skill runs when it finishes."

Do they use my other tools, like Ahrefs, GA4 or Jira?

Yes, whatever you've connected. Sitebulb supplies the technical truth; a connected rank tracker or analytics tool turns "this page is broken" into "this page ranks for a commercial term and is losing traffic", and a connected PM tool lets the fixes become tickets in the same session. The more of your stack is connected, the more commercial the output gets.

Isn't AI-drafted audit output just slop?

That's exactly why the audit ships as a working draft, not a finished file. It seeds review comments against the passages that need human judgment and flags where you need to weigh in, because your name goes on it. It drafts; you judge. The restraint is the point: ten issues that matter, explained in the client's terms, instead of a 100-issue export they could have generated themselves.

Do the Skills work in ChatGPT too?

Yes. The Skills follow the Agent Skills open standard, so the same Skill runs in Claude and ChatGPT, with no separate version to install.

Can the Skills run a crawl for me?

No. The MCP is read-only, so it reads your finished audits but doesn't start crawls. Run or schedule the crawl in Sitebulb as usual, and the Skills work from the latest finished audit. They'll always tell you which one they're reading.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Install through Claude Desktop's plugin flow and ask for what you need in plain language. If you prefer the terminal, the same Skills install in Claude Code and run with slash commands, but Desktop is the simpler route for most SEOs.
