The MCP is the connection that lets Claude or ChatGPT read your Sitebulb audit data. It's read-only, and works best when combined with Sitebulb’s pre-made Skills or your own AI assistant skills. Whether on Sitebulb Desktop or Cloud, the MCP behaves the same.

If you're on a Claude Team plan, only a Claude Owner can add the connector for the whole workspace; everyone else then connects individually from their own Claude account afterwards. No. The MCP is read-only, so it reads your finished audits but doesn't start crawls. Run or schedule the crawl in Sitebulb as usual, then use the Sitebulb Skills or your own prompts to work from the latest finished audit.

If you use the MCP, you must be comfortable with sharing audit data with your AI assistant. The MCP reads your Sitebulb data through your own authenticated connection, and only shares it with the AI client you've connected. You can remove the connection any time. The Sitebulb MCP only ever pulls back Sitebulb data. Your AI assistant can combine this with other tools because it can also talk to the other tools you've connected to it, and then reason across all of them in one conversation. So if you've connected something like Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Jira or Slack to the same assistant, you can ask things no single tool could answer on its own (E.g. "Turn the top five issues from the latest [project] audit into Jira tickets.").
