Contains a duplicate attribute
This means that the URL in question contains one or more DOM elements with the same attribute specified twice (e.g. an image with two src attributes).
Why is this important?
Browsers will use the first attribute value, and ignore subsequent attribute values. It is important these are cleaned up and fixed to ensure the correct value is used.
What does the Hint check?
This Hint will trigger for any internal HTML URL which contains DOM elements with the same attribute specified twice.
Examples that trigger this Hint:
The Hint would trigger for HTML URLs that contain an element with the same attribute specified more than once.
How do you resolve this issue?
It is not valid to have the same attribute name twice in an element. What happens in practice is that the latter attribute is ignored by browsers. This may mean that the element does not render as intended, so this issue should be addressed an corrected by removing the duplicate attribute so that only the correct attribute remains.
To understand where the issues lie, you will need to investigate further using a HTML validation service. Within Sitebulb, you can jump straight to the corresponding W3 Validation page through the URL List.
